It is our goal to integrate both new and continuing students from the physics department into our organization, provide services to help our members in their studies, make connections with the exceptional physics research institutions located in Boulder, and build an inclusive social space for CU's physics students.The University of Colorado Boulder Physics Undergraduate Society is dedicated to fostering community for all physics, astrophysics, and engineering physics majors at CU Boulder. 

Come join us for weekly meetings every Wednesday at 5:00 PM on the 11th floor of the Gamow Tower in Duane to meet other undergraduate physics majors and enjoy free pizza. The agenda varies from week to week, but we always have something for you to participate in. Check our calendar below for the agenda each week.

SPS hosts tours of physics labs on campus. This is a great opportunity to see what kind of research is being done right now at CU and see the inner workings of a real experimental physics lab. If you’re interested at getting involved in research, especially as an undergrad, then this is an event for you.
Lab tours are a special form of weekly meetings and occur at the same time, so check our schedule below or come to a weekly meeting to find the exact dates.

Approximately once per month SPS holds a larger event. This semester we will have a hike in September, an event at the Sommers-Bausch Observatory in November, and a game night in October. Check the calendar or contact us for dates and more details.

We also spend time outside enjoying the natural beauty of Boulder. A few of the activities we do are playing frisbee on Duane lawn, rock climbing at the CU Boulder Rec center, and hiking the mountains in and around Boulder. Join us at our weekly meetings to find out more, we schedule these events on the fly.
